Hey everybody! How is it going? Sorry I have not posted anything for a while . My family and I took a ten day stay-vacation. (It means we didn't go anywhere!) It was a lot of fun. One thing we did as a family is that we did a campfire with hot dogs and campfire doughnuts. Now almost everybody else that I have told what we ate at the campfire gave me a look that said:"Campfire doughnuts?Who ever heard of campfire doughnuts!" Well here is the recipe:
You will need
1)Pillsbury buscits
2)Vegetable oil
3)some powder sugar, brown sugar, white sugar or cinnamon sugar
4)tongs
5)a pot you can put over the fire
6)bowls you can pour the sugar in
7)and last but not least , napkins because they get very messy!
Now what you do is :
Make a fire and stick the pot over the fire and pour in the oil.The pot should be about 1/4 full.
Now wait until you know that the oil is ready. Then take out the bisquist and put a hole in them. When you have done that you can stick it in the oil. Leave it in there, then you can turn it around with the tongs. Both sides should have a golden /brown color to it. Carefully take it our and stick it in the sugar of your choice.Roll it around in there and then enjoy!
Tip:You can save the oil for another time too if you like. It might save on money! And you can also do these campfire doughnuts on the stove too. Just be careful because they splatter and they get got.
I hope that you enjoy!!!
