Sisters....

Birthdays. Sisters. Fights. Hugs. Tears. Smiles. They will never end I pray. Today my family and I celebrate my sister Taylor's birthday. 13 years old and I have been there for every year and hope to be for all the next years to come. I am incredibly thankful that I have spent 13 years with her and have her as my sister. Sure, we fight all the time yet we always go back and say we are sorry and ask for forgiveness. Sure we disagree and then it goes into the "Court match" of who is right and who is wrong! Sure, there are tears about many things, but then there is always those smiles afterwards that we have. I would not change all we have done with each other. We have been through my mom and dad's wedding. We went through a airport by ourselves not knowing anybody except each other to fly to Kentucky to visit our biological dad. We went through our adoption together and through all the moves and changing churches together. We went through being baptized together.We go through nights of being down emotionally to being in the silliest mood nobody has ever seen us and will never see us. We stay up late and share secrets that will never leave that room. We have been through so much and those memories will always be with me and I will never let go of those or trade them for anything. I thank God for her, for those memories, for the things we have been through and for the relationship I have with her. I can't imagine all the years without her. I can't imagine all the years ahead without her. I love you Taylor and happy birthday!!!! I pray that this year God will bless you as he sees fit and will shine his light through you and work in your relationship with him and others. Have a lovely day sister in flesh and in Christ.
