Cabin

Well last Monday we left to go to our cabin which is only an hour away. This is one of my favorite places to be. If I could I would live there all year around. Yet while I like it I am sure not all of you would. Here is the thing. It is a very rustic cabin and old. It is a 2 bedroom cabin with a small kitchen and living room. They have a fireplace in the living room to keep warm with. Here is the other thing. There is no running water! So we have an outhouse just around the corner and a pump which we have to heat water up for dishes and cooking. Also if you want to shower you just jump in the lake and wash there. This cabin also has a boat house which there are a few more beds for people to sleep in. But there are bugs and spiders and animals and who knows what else! As for the rest of the cabin. It is in a beautiful spot. It has woods and a lake surrounding it. There is a rock wall and a point. I have to say the point is my favorite place because you can get away from the noise yet still be there. We also have a boat which we call "The Turtle Boat" because my dad and his dad would go out and catch turtles with it. There is a rope swing which my family uses quite a bit and there is of course a fire pit down  by the lake. We also sometimes make a homemade sauna and that is always a lot of fun. Well enough about reading about the cabin. I got a ton of pictures to show you.

Oh ya and this is Abraham Lincoln if you couldn't tell! My great-grandpa built this cabin and everything and he also carved this rock when he first built here. Clever right?
