Matthew 11:28

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28.
I like the sound of that verse! For the past 2 weeks I have had something going on EVERYDAY! 2 Sundays ago we had church and my family and I got ready to head to our cabin. We were there from Monday to Wednesday and then we had a Bible study and a potluck that Wednesday night. Thursday we had a missions group from out mother church and that went on into Sunday and then starting Monday my sister Taylor and I had play practice and that went through Saturday. The practices were about 4-5 hours long and then we had a few extras things going on just through out the week. Today is Sunday and we have company over for lunch and then we have a bridal shower at our house this evening. I feel exhausted. I feel tired. I feel cranky and you could ask my sister and she will tell you that I am cranky:)
As I was praying what God wanted me to post about this verse (Matthew 11:28) came to mind. Now I believe that this verse is true both physically and spiritually. I believe that God will give me the rest I need. Maybe even want. Bu I have to trust him. I have to abide in him and ask him for rest. As a pastors daughter I see my parents and even I get tired physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. But I also see that God has given them rest when they need it or the strength to get through it. Hope that you had a more relaxed week than I did.
