Ants, God and Us....

Right now I am looking at about, oh I don't know, maybe 50 ants in their new home. Yep, we have ants for pets for the next couple weeks.I didn't choose this just to let you guys know. I would rather have a horse than ants for a pet. But for my little sister's school she had to have a ant farm and watch how the ants work. Right now some of them are building part of their new home and some are eating and some of them (sadly..) did not make it! But as I watch these ants I am thinking, " Wow! What hard workers they are." How often we take a walk outside and see an ant and crush them with our feet and kick them aside. I think it is amazing that God created something that small and yet so strong and hard working. God had a purpose when He created those ants and I wish I new what it was. When you take a quick glance, all you see is a disgusting, little, red or black, biting ant that does no good. But when God looks at them, He sees a piece of artwork that nobody except him can make.
Another thing that I like to think about is that the Bible says in Genesis 1, when God created the animals , He blessed them and said to be fruitful and multiply. Then later on in Genesis God sends the flood and he said to Noah to bring 2 of every living creature on the ark. Male and female. So Noah probably had 2 little ants that he had to watch over and feed. So God apparently cared about these ants if He wanted them to be saved from the flood. What I am trying to say is that when God created everything He had a purpose and He cares about them. That includes you, me and the ants.
